Founded with the dream of backing stories worth telling, Vistaar / WSG was set up in 2004.

With Vistaar as the financing arm and WSG as the production company, it remains committed to backing quality content and has produced a diverse range of quality cinema powered by the conviction of the filmmakers vision.

Led by producer Sheetal Talwar and director, Bhavna Talwar,the boutique production firm under the WSG banner produced its maiden film venture ‘Dharm’ which bagged the indian national film award and was an official selection at the 60th Cannes Film Festival.

Having produced indian language films, the vision of being georgraphy agnostic led to the production of ‘The Joneses’ , the firms’ maiden international feature starring Demi Moore and David Duchovny.

Balancing a steady slate of indian as well as international films since its humble beginnings in 2004, Vistaar / WSG is credited with critically, commercially and poignant cinema such as Ram Gopal Varmas’ ‘Rann’ starring Amitabh Bachchan , Paul Andrew Williams directed ‘ The Eichmann Show’ starring Martin Freeman and anthony La Paglia, south african comedy ‘Finding Lenny’ among numerous others.

Moving ahead, the company driven by a passionate team has in place a strong slate of feature films in stages of post production, production and development, with some of the finest directorial and acting talent.

Sheetal Vinod Talwar, Co-Founder

Sheetal Vinod Talwar, is a serial entrepreneur and a capitalist with a heart.  An MBA Graduate from IMT Ghaziabad, Sheetal started his career as an advertising and branding expert – working for leading brands including Jet Airways, Moet Hennessey, Reebok, Coca Cola and others. His marketing insights soon placed him in the position of product and marketing head at American Express Bank. Throughout his 15 years of working stint, has endeavored to embrace innovation and make it a reality.

He then moved on to realize his dream. His desire to explore and to contribute to the society helped him start a film production company which not only introduced professionalism in the burgeoning entertainment and film industry, but also made social relevant films. The Debut film ‘Dharm’ won the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration at the 2007 National Film Award. Sheetal then partnered with Religare Enterprises Limited to form India’s first ever SEBI-registered venture capital fund – dedicated to support films.

He is also the founding member of the Jaago India foundation and India Banao campaign. He is also a Charter Member of TiE and a member of the Indian Angels Network.

Bhavna Talwar, Co-Founder

Bhavna Talwar is an internationally acclaimed film-maker and India’s first woman director to debut at the Cannes FIlm Festival, with her debut – ‘Dharm’, which besides winning accolades from critics worldwide, also won the Best Film Award at the South Asian Film Festival of First Films, Singapore, 2007 as well as the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration at the 2007 National Film Award.

In 2008, Bhavna also won the Media Citizen Karmaveer Puraskaarm, the National People’s Awards for Citizen Social Justice and Action instituted by the citizens and people of India. These awards are instituted by iCONGO – Confederation of NGOs.  She was also nominated for The Gucci Group Award for making a remarkable contribution to cinema. Bhavna has also been a jury member of many national and international film festivals.

She is currently working on her second directorial venture ‘Happi’. Besides having a great eye for detail, Bhavna is a visionary, a motivator and an inspiring leader.
